ACTS 20:24

"But my life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus - the work of telling others the good news about God's wonderful kindness and love."

Dear Friends,

The month of October was exciting and blessed for us. On October 1 we traveled to Mexico. A wonderful team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and a supportive team accompanied us to San Luis, Mexico.  The team gave 5,000 treatments and we were privileged to bless the people with beans and rice as they left the clinic.  More importantly 500 individuals received the Lord as their Savior.  Visits were made to Shut In Homes and we were able to visit The Blind Center and enjoy seeing the activities of the day. Fausto and Debbie joined us in ministry on this trip.  Fausto was able to serve as a nurse since the Mexican government accepted his credentials from the Dominican Republic and Debbie blessed the group each morning leading us in worship and song.  The picture below shows a packed church on Sunday morning with the American Team praying with individuals at the end of the service.  Many of those at the altar were our Interpreters from the Drug Rehab Center.

On October 23 we were privileged to travel with a team of 7 to Cuba where we ministered in churches but our main ministry was to the church plant pastors.  We had a terrific team that included Pastor Chris Gibbs, Joe and Alma Horst and Jim and Cathy Maxim.   We were able to witness the living conditions of the pastors and the Cuban people as we lived and ate with them daily. Our lives were impacted by the commitment and sacrifice of the Cuban pastors and we were humbled by their welcome and acceptance.  Our team is pictured below with some of the church plant pastors.

At the end of the week, we attended the wedding of our female interpreter.  She and Becky bonded on our first trip there and she planned her wedding around our visit and the visit of Joe and Alma Horst.  What a joy to join in this happy occasion which was as elaborate as any American wedding!

Thank you so much for your prayers and your financial support.  Because of your gifts we are enabled to fulfill the call of God and bless the needy in foreign countries.  We are so grateful for all gifts which can be mailed to Acts 20:24, 114 Burke Drive, Monroeville, PA 15146.  You will receive a tax exemption from Allison Park Church

With great appreciation for your friendship and love.  We are greatly blessed.

With our Love,

Jim and Becky Leake
